You are looking at a new feature for the Confio Support site, one that is intended to benefit not just our Ignite using customers, but also other DBAs looking for fresh perspectives on best practice for database performance.

One of the strongest connections over the years here at Confio has been the performance insight that our internal DBAs have developed with customers while assisting them with use of Ignite.  Users are always asking our opinion on performance topics, and we created this blog as a forum for the Confio team to share their knowledge and experience with the larger community.   On a regular basis, we will be posting case studies and specific tips on database performance topics.  My favorites, of course, are the detailed success stories around use of Ignite.

One of the nicest things about Confio is that our customers know our DBA team personally, including Janis Griffin, Dean Richards, Mark Martin and Matt Larson, all of whom will be regular bloggers on this site.

The blog is open to all.  Confio supported customers with a validated login can also post questions and comments which will appear immediately.  Once we get going, we'll look to have guest bloggers from our user base as well.    If you have any general comments or suggestions, send them to info@confio.com.   Thanks for reading -  I look forward to seeing this forum develop.   Now enough of this, and on to real content!

Don Bergal, Chief Operating Officer, Confio Software
