Changing an Intallation from IgniteVM to Ignite8 with VMware Option

IgniteVM is a version of Ignite with all default behavior set to focus only on Virtualization related database monitoring.  Detailed performance data from databases is not visible in the Virtualization setting.   This can be simply changed to enable full visibility of all Virtualization and Performance data, with no re-installation required. 

 

Follow these procedures: 

  1.  On Options page, click Advanced Options.
  2.  Check the “Support Options” checkbox at the top of the page.
  3. Find the Repository Options entry called “BUILD_TYPE_OVERRIDE” and click “Edit”.
  4. Choose a new value of “Performance” and press OK.
  5. Click “Home” and you should see a “Product” dropdown to switch between IgniteVM (Virtualization) and Ignite8 (Performance).
