Database(s): MS SQL

To uninstall a Sql Server Repository, first make sure that all monitoring is stopped and the monitored databases are unregistered. To stop the monitors, bring up the Ignite PI client and select the "Stop All Monitors" button.  After the monitors are stopped, choose the 'Options or Manage' button, and select the 'Un-register Monitored Database' option.

Once all monitored databases are unregistered, stop the "Ignite PI Server" service. If running Windows, bring up the 'Start menu', choose Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services and stop the 'Ignite PI Server' service. If running Unix/Linux, stop the Ignite process.

To drop the Ignite repository database and Ignite user, use either Enterprise Manager or Management Studio and follow MS SQL standard delete process for databases and logins.

To create another repository, edit the repo.properties file (look like the example listed below) and restart the Ignite PI Server. The 'Create Ignite Repo Wizard' will be displayed the next time you bring up the Ignite Client.

The repo.properties file is located in:

  • If Windows Installation, in the C:\Program Files\Confio\Ignite PI\iwc\tomcat\ignite_config\idc directory
  • If a Unix/Linux Installation, <Ignite_install location>/iwc/tomcat/ignite_config/idc directory

Example of Repo.properties file below:  Blank or delete all fields on the right side of the equal '=' sign and save the file.
