Ignite Daylight Savings Time Bug

 

A new rare Ignite bug was discovered that was related to daylight savings time.  In about 5% of cases, it stops collecting SQL statistics (such as executions).  SQL wait data is not affected. Another symptom of the problem is the following message in the Ignite PI log files:

  • Skipping stats poll since stats poll is already running.

 

The solution is very simple:

  • Restart the Ignite Service (Windows) or restart the Ignite process (Unix/Linux).
